The Bruins continued their slide this evening with a sloppy effort against the Hurricanes. It seems that Boston has forgotten all about last year. They are not bringing it to the rink and it seems like the slide will continue for the time being at least. Chara was a monster last year and this season and this season he is a non factor. Claude Julien has to read the Bruins the riot act and get these guys to wake up before it is too late.
The disaster in Ottawa is getting sad. They were crushed this evening by a Flyers team which is firing on all cylinders. The Flyers are one of the best in the NHL and the Senators are playing like a Junior A team. It is a sad situation for a club which could have competed for the Stanley Cup just a few years ago. The Senators fans long for the return of attitude hockey. Ray Emery was flashy guy during his time in Ottawa but the Senators could use him now.
